Contact the Clerk / Recorder of Deeds at the courthouse for the county where the property is located.
To find the county office you want, check out the State and Local Government Internet Directory. First, click on the state you want from the drop-down menu that’s in a box about mid-page in the left column.
Then, on the next page, select “county” from the multiple choice menu of State and Local Government offices near the middle of the page. Finally, select the county you want from the list provided. That will take you to the county’s main page that lists all of its offices.
